There is still time to catch Kenneth Cappello's amazing Acid Drop exhibition at Milk Studios. Born in Houston, Kenneth cut his chops as the assistant to David LaChappelle and has shot for iD, Vanity Fair and Dazed & Confused, among others.
The show is arranged around casual, candid snapshots from Cappello's youth (think shots of bleach blond boys in high-tops doing hand-stands on the blacktop, and grade-school rebels in L.A. Gear tees jumping over dad's Lincoln). It's all the sort of dreamy, sun-drenched sort of images you might see in a Gus Van Sant film about growing up skateboarding in Texas. It runs through June 13th.
